Martin Architects PC AIA
Established in 1998, Martin Architects provides licensed architecture and construction services, interior design, furniture design, site evaluating and master planning. The team offers the skills and experience of a large firm, while providing the personal service, motivation, and responsiveness associated with a boutique practice.
MA specializes in high-end residential, commercial, and institutional design featuring a wide range of architectural disciplines—from Modernist to Historical Preservation. Projects have been undertaken throughout the Hamptons, New York City, and New York State, as well as Connecticut, New Jersey, Baltimore, Costa Rica, Portugal and the Caribbean.
The practice has long-standing working relationships with a wide range of skilled consultants, all of which deliver quality design and construction on time and within budget.
Martin Architects does not limit designs to any single project type; we are committed to tailor proposals to the unique requirements of individual clients and their project conditions.
We are a multilingual team speaking English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

NICK MARTIN, AIA, Principal has formed a versatile office that creatively responds to the aesthetic and technical demands required to fully realize residential, commercial, and pro bono projects of varying size and budget.
Nick was introduced to the discipline of architecture at Harvard's undergraduate Architecture Discovery program, and honored with first design excellence. He then attended Pratt Institute, where he was awarded several traveling fellowships throughout Europe and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
He continued his professional experiences with Gwathmey Siegel, Gabellini, Sheppard, and Associates, and Wood and Zapata. Awarded projects with others include private residences for Michael Dell and Barbara Streisand, MTV Corporate Headquarters, Steuben Glass gallery/museum, New York flagship store for Nicole Farhi, and various NYC gallery spaces. Nick established Martin Architects in the Hamptons to focus on high-end residential projects transitioning from international retail stores and galleries.
Subsequently, 4MA Builders was established as a sister company to ensure high quality synchronicity on selected construction of projects.
Nick maintains a license through the AIA, as well as in contracting and real estate.
An artist himself, Nick runs active artist and music studios.
From inception, Martin Architects incorporates environmentally sensitive design materials and building methods into each of its projects.
This involves the integration of energy efficient systems and design, geothermal, energy star practices, active and passive solar design, and the use of recycled and/or sustainable materials.
MA maintains a membership with the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
